George P. Johnson (GPJ) served as the lead producer for IBM Think, overseeing the event’s overall design, physical staging, and large-scale brand environment across San Francisco’s Moscone Center. GPJ created the distinctive architectural elements and immersive spaces—such as theaters, discussion areas, and the iconic suspended IBM “eye-bee-M” logo installation—that defined the conference’s visual identity. Working in parallel, Spinifex Group contributed its interactive storytelling and motion-graphics artistry. Together, GPJ and Spinifex Group shaped IBM Think into a hybrid of live environment design and digital innovation.
At Salesforce’s Dreamforce conference, George P. Johnson (GPJ) led the event’s creative strategy and production, transforming downtown San Francisco into a “campground”-themed experience with immersive zones and branded environments. Spinifex Group notably created “Hey Einstein,” an installation featuring life-sized bobblehead sculptures of Salesforce’s Einstein AI that used voice recognition and large embedded displays to engage attendees. Together they merged large-scale design with digital storytelling to make Dreamforce a seamless physical-digital experience.
