CALTECH + RESNICK SUSTAINABILITY INSTITUTE | Illustrator | Posters

This set of four posters were commissioned by the Resnick Sustainability Institute at Caltech to display in the lobby of the Jorgensen Laboratory, introducing new visitors to RSI’s research and education efforts. Images from these posters were integrated into the two digital signage projects I designed and animated for RSI. Each poster measures 24” x 36”.

This poster is for the Charge Up! Series, sponsored by Caltech and Resnick Sustainability Institute’s Entrepreneurship Program. Charge Up! is a monthly workshop program that helps researchers explore entrepreneurship in sustainability and clean-tech. It introduces scientists, engineers, and students to the business side of innovation—market evaluation, customer discovery, fundraising, IP, and venture formation. Through seminars and advisory groups, participants learn practical steps for translating research into real-world impact. Charge Up!’s goal is to demystify startups and help innovators decide whether launching a venture is the right path.

In this image I illustrate some of the business activities begun by Caltech students. Clockwise from top left: water treatment, direct ocean carbon capture, wind and solar power, electric vehicle charging, AI and data visualization, low-carbon cement, and hydroponic agriculture. The image depicts collaboration as an essential part of successful business.
